Batalha is a town in the District of Leiria, of the Central Portugal region and sub-region of Pinhal Litoral, with about 7,500 inhabitants.

It governs a municipality with an area of 103.56 km2 and 15,789 inhabitants (2006 census), subdivided into four parish, Batalha, Golpilheira, Reguengo do Fetal and São Mamede. The municipality shares its borders with the municipality of Leiria to the north and west, Ourém to the east, Alcanena to the southeast and Porto de Mós to the southwest.
